I just found VI Tester yesterday and I'm attempting to put it through its paces, so far an amazing product.

Is there any way to grab the text generated by VI Tester in the output window at the bottom of the tester?

I found the 'print window' option under 'File', but I cannot resize the window large enough to grab all of the text generated in the output window.

Thanks!

Thanks! We're working hard to integrate your feedback into new revisions of the product so please keep posting issues or ideas as you see them!

Currently we don't have any ability to 'export' that text -- either to printer, file or clipboard. I've added this to our roadmap as I think its a feature we've overlooked.

Thanks for trying out VI Tester, we really look forward to your feedback!

Ben,

I see that you've spent some time unit testing in LabVIEW ;)

We're very happy to hear that you like VI Tester and we're excited to hear your ongoing feedback -- keep it coming.

Thanks!

Soon I hope...I am just getting re-integrated back into the newsletter and I'm creating my 'wish list' of items our current hosting platform is missing that I would like implemented ASAP.

Jim,

I'm actually in the process of writing part 3 where I talk about using VI Tester as opposed to TestStand. I hope to have it published before mid month.

I've been living in the .NET world of nUnit and Microsoft Testing Framework (this is the one built into VS2008), so coming back to LabVIEW it has been great to have a framework that will allow me to 'slide back in' and have tools that look very familiar to what I have been using for the past few years.
