MichaelK
I'm stuck using VIPM 2 on Linux. Along with other issues with VIPM 2, I am now unable to update the files. The icons show the files are out-of-date (Labview with burst icon) correctly. Clicking update shows file activity in the status bar. However, once complete, the out-of-date icons remain. This is on a system with LV 8.6.1, 2009 and 2010 sp1 installed and trying to update the files for the LV2010 sp1 installation. Linux is OpenSUSE 11.1. Any ideas? Thanks. Michael Aivaliotis
When you do an update, are you performing an install of the new package version?
MichaelK
Michael, Labview 2010 was installed about two months ago. At the same time, VIPM was used to install OpenG. I haven't checked for updates since, and happened to run VIPM today to check. That's when I noticed that the update process didn't seem to work. As I recall, VIPM reported out-of-date files after the original install, but I didn't have time to check into it then; I simply passed on using openG on this machine until it was installed correctly. Perhaps manually removing the libraries and re-running VIPM would work. VIPM 2 never sets up the palettes correctly, but the libraries can still be accessed manually. Having the current ones would be a relief.
