mecoop Posted August 10, 2010 Report Share Posted August 10, 2010 I'm new to the VIPM but after the presentation at NI week on state machines I wanted to check out the JKI Template. After installing VIPM and selecting the globe to search for new packages I get the error, "There was an error checking the network for new packages. Michael Aivaliotis Posted August 10, 2010 Report Share Posted August 10, 2010 It's possible that your firewall software on your machine is blocking access to the internet from VIPM. If you have one, please disable it temporarily to see if this fixes it. If it does, then add an exception to your firewall for VIPM. Another option is that your corporate network is configured where you are required to go through a proxy server. If this is the case then, you need to configure VIPM to use that proxy server. More information can be found here. If that doesn't help then please attach VIPM's logs to help me troubleshoot further. See here for info.
