Mellroth
Hi, we had a discussion during the VIPM beta (over at ni.com) regarding build numbers. After a few months of using the build numbers I really like it, but.. We would really need the additional "Release stage" Jim proposed. The problem is that when we build a package of a SW tagged as 2.0.0p05 (pre-release of v2.0.0), the VI package version does not match. Do you have any news regarding this feature? /J

We don't have anything, yet, to report on the "release stage" idea. But, we're definitely listening. We do have an internal tracking number for this feature request: Case 9968: Add a "Release Stage" field to VI Package version information Thanks for reminding us and pushing us to work on ideas you need. We really appreciate your feedback. -Jim
