Ability to Replace Control (similar to Ctrl+P QuickDrop Shortcut)

David Arnold

Question

Dear JKI,
thanks for providing these neat controls!!!
One thing I miss though is the ability to replace controls. I wanted to do this in an old SW in order to give it a "face lift". If a control has several property nodes and local variables it is pretty time-consuming to fill those into the code again. Also with Booleans, I have to set the mechanical action as it was before. (Labels, position of the new control has to be set again as well, of course.)
Is there/will there be a way to replace controls?

Hi Jim,

one has to make sure that the JKI Design Palette Window is activated before pressing Ctrl+P. I wanted to mention this, because I was not aware of it at first. It did not take long to figure that out, though. The function itself works just as expected. Labels and mechanical action and postition of the boolean controls are kept.

Thanks for implementing this so promptly!
