JKI Posted July 26, 2007 Report Share Posted July 26, 2007 As of VIPM 1.1 Public Beta 1 Windows Vista is not officially supported. However, it does install with one minor hiccup during the installation process... The first time you try to install VIPM on Vista you will receive an error message (Error 740, as shown in the screenshot below). Simply acknowledge the error by pressing the OK button to close the dialog. The next time you run the VIPM installer, Vista will present you with a dialog asking you to enter your admin password. After you enter your password, VIPM should install and run just fine. Notes: If Vista never presents a password dialog and you keep getting error 740, then right-click on the installer EXE and choose "Run As Administrator". If you try to install packages by double-clicking on them, you should run VIPM first, and then double-click on the package. Otherwise, you may encounter file permission errors, due to VIPM running as non-administrator.
