All the other packages installed ok but zip files lib install stalls.... Here is report from VIPM. VI is aborted because after 10 minutes I figured it should be done. Thoughts? Jim Kring
Hello, There is a known issue in LabVIEW 8.5. The problem occurs when the LabVIEW Getting Started dialog is open you try to install a some packages (specifically, those that need to run code inside of LabVIEW during the installation). The solution is to open a VI (or even a new/untitled VI), and then perform the installation. Please give this a try and let me know if it works for you. Thanks, -Jim
Aurora Tiffany-Davis
I am having a similar problem to bruceb's. I'm using VIPM 1.1 build 0663, LV8.2.1. The error message I get is... Main Package Name: oglib_lvdata-2.9-1 Package Name with Error: oglib_lvdata-2.9-1 Error Message: VIPM could not install the package oglib_lvdata-2.9-1 . Error Code: 10 Error Source: Move in 3C0592C5C71544B3AB3967E4B8640B71->DD688004C4BD4D158D9A47D164167D5C.lvlib:6378072C36700FBBFD13102B1EE3D86D->DD688004C4BD4D158D9A47D164167D5C.lvlib:A66C106A5B45C1B0A7C110E9CE3A490C->E825E4AD9AF74DB42BAAD88CEADF7809->VIPM Main Window.vi I actually get these kinds of errors for many packages, although I was able to successfully install oglib_array-2.7.1. I have tried having a blank VI open during the install (so that the Getting Started window is not up), I have also tried uninstalling VIPM and reinstalling. Also the normal stuff like rebooting my PC. I also saw this post (http://forums.jki.net/topic/567-how-to-install-openg-vis-manually/) and attempted the suggested fix there, but that was not successful either ("There was an error adding packages to the packages list"). Any suggestions? Thanks!
Michael Aivaliotis
I am having a similar problem to bruceb's. I'm using VIPM 1.1 build 0663, LV8.2.1. Is there a specific reason for using version 1.1? There have been significant improvements and many bug fixes since 1.1. I suggest you upgrade to the current version and try again. Aurora Tiffany-Davis
There is not a specific reason for using version 1.1. We're running LV8.2.1 on this PC, but could install the LV2009 RTE to allow the VIPM upgrade. The only hiccup is getting admin privileges for the PC in question. I'll start that process now I guess! Aurora Tiffany-Davis
Okay, I've updated VIPM to the latest version and now I can install all needed packages - problem solved. Thanks!
