asbo
Hi there, While messing with some internal packages, I added & installed a new package and then tried to drop a VI from the package onto the block diagram and was subsequently prompted by LabVIEW to locate some subVI from the package. Unfortunately, I didn't think to copy down the name, so I can't be sure whether it was the package itself or one of its dependencies. Either way, when I restarted LabVIEW, everything worked spiffy. It seems the palette sync tickbox wasn't on ... is this the default setting for the Pro version? If it's not, it really ought to be. But, assuming it was off, shouldn't I have not seen my new package until restarting LabVIEW anyway?
Jim Kring
Hi! Thank you for reporting this. Your right -- the palette sync option should be enabled by default in VIPM Professional. I've filed a bug here: Known Issue (Case 6238): Refresh LabVIEW Palettes After Package Installation option should be enabled (checked) by default for VIPM Professional users Thanks, -Jim
