Timestamp parsing

Recommended Posts

I tried to parse the twitter XML reply for friends timelist:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<statuses type="array">
  <created_at>Sat Jan 31 21:14:06 +0000 2009</created_at>

Naturally I tried to get the 'created_at' as a timestamp.

However JKI XML toolkit errored out stating that it 'Doesn't support waveform', I know that timestamp is a sort of waveform.

Error 1 occurred at (Unexpected Datatype ) Get Default Data from TD__ogtk.vi:2 in Get Default Data from TD__ogtk.vi:1->Get Array Element Default Data__ogtk.vi->A5AE8EA5BC9E882D19C00E2FAEC17B15:2->A5AE8EA5BC9E882D19C00E2FAEC17B15:1->Easy Parse XML__JKI EasyXML.vi->XMLStringToStatus.vi

Possible reason(s):

LabVIEW: An input parameter is invalid. For example if the input is a path, the path might contain a character not allowed by the OS such as ? or @.

To reproduce, get the Twitter friends timeline downloader from LAVA and replace the created_at string in the cluster on XMLStringToStatus.vi with a timestamp.

One note, EasyXML will not be able to parse the Twitter timestamp, since it isn't in the correct XML standard form.
